Lost Our Home Pet FoundationJody, founder of Lost Our Home Pet Foundation, was a Realtor in Arizona when the housing market crashed. With foreclosures rising and more and more of the owners walking away from their homes she noticed pets being left behind to fend for themselves.
Being an animal lover she started taking the animals to local shelters and contacting rescue organizations. Before she knew it she was fostering animals because there was no room at the shelters. She began putting together a network of people to foster the animals. Now, three years later, the organization has become a full time job.
The Lost Our Home Pet Foundation is in the process of raising funds for a permanent location to house the many animals who have been left behind.
