Ok, now that I have your attention. I recommend reading our white paper.

"Why a Pet Care Trust?"

This great paper clearly states how I can best be taken care of.

Be a Responsible Pet Parent in Public

The past Saturday I spent the day at the San Jose Pet Expo talking about Trusted Pet Partners and meeting all the wonderful pet parents of northern California.  18,000 people attended and it seemed like everyone had their dog with them.  I saw breeds I have not seen in years but the dog of choice is #1 English Bull Dog and #2 Pit Bull.  They were all well mannered although many could use a few pointers in control.  Nothing worse than a macho guy being pulled through the show by his Pit Bull!

SJ PetExpoI noticed several things that got my attention that we as pet parents need to address.  One, if you are taking you pet out in public bring enough disposible bags to clean up after them.  Just because you are told you can bring your pet does not mean someone else is happy to pick up after you.  Think...there are hundreds of people and dogs, and you with no bags...is that responsible?

There were many dogs that have not been neutered.  What is up with that?  I was very surprised.  My husband suggested that maybe they were breeder's dogs but I don't think breeders are parading their male dogs at a pet expo.  We don't want to breed with the wrong kind!  Anyhow, if you have a friend with a dog or cat that has not been spayed or neutered please support them in finding a low cost clinic.  We definitely have more Pit Bulls and Chihuahuas than we have homes.

Make yourself a fanny pack or easy to grab bag with all of the necessary items, disposible bags(preferably bio-degradeable), water and travel dish, and treats.  You will be less stressed, the pet will be happy, and the public will know you are a responsible pet parent.
